Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of findthefaker.com ("we", "the game"). By creating or joining a game room, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the game.

1. The game

Find the Faker is a free social-deduction word game. We provide it "as is", may change or discontinue it at any time, and don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free.

2. Your content

You choose a display name and type short word clues. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to display that content to the other players in your room for the purpose of running the game. You are responsible for what you type.

3. Acceptable use

Don't use names or clues that are offensive, hateful, harassing, that impersonate someone, or that break the law. Don't attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or cheat the service. We may remove content or close rooms at our discretion, but we are under no obligation to monitor content and are not responsible for what other players type.

4. No warranties; limitation of liability

The game is provided without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the game, and our total liability to you is limited to zero (the game is free).

5. Indemnity

You agree to cover any claims arising from content you submit that is unlawful or infringes someone else's rights.

6. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be handled in the courts located there. You may also have rights under the consumer laws of your own country that these terms do not override.

7. Children

The game is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and, for material changes, show a notice in the app; continued play means you accept the update.
